v/m rewind V (LP #44)

This week on LONGPLAY, we’re revisiting some of our favorite recent playlists from v/m: the mini, five-song sets we publish alongside our live shows.

If you’re new to the format, each v/m playlist is arranged like a day: Morning, noon, afternoon, evening, late night. Five songs for five different moods, stitched together by a single theme.

We’re letting them play uninterrupted. Before each set, I’ll introduce the theme, offer a few thoughts, and then let the music do what it does best.

This round of rewind includes a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a celebration of love songs by Black artists, a beginner’s guide into the color and cinema of Bollywood, and more.

Some sets are reflective, some seductive, some just fun. All of them are little soundtracks for living.
